PLUS - shelving system

PLUS is a sustainable shelving system developed by Atelier Krouwel. PLUS is modular system enabling customers to create their own configuration. The system offers various environmentally friendly materials, colors and finishes. The shelves are produced by means of digital fabrication CNC milling machine. There is minimal material loss during the production process. The parts are bundled and delivered as a flat-pack. Once delivered on location, customers can easily assemble their unique configuration themselves thanks to a digital manual. Thanks to the friction-fit connections, minimal fasteners are required and the cabinets are (re)assembled only with a rubber hammer and screwdriver.

PLUS is een duurzaam kastensysteem ontwikkeld vanuit Atelier Krouwel. PLUS is modulair opgebouwd zodat klanten hun eigen configuratie kunnen creëren. Het systeem biedt verschillende milieu-vriendelijke materialen, kleuren en afwerkingen. De kasten worden geproduceerd door middel van een CNC-freesmachine. Bij het productieproces is er minimaal materiaalverlies. De onderdelen worden gebundeld als ‘flat’-pack getransporteerd. Eenmaal bezorgd op locatie kunnen klanten zelf dankzij een digitale handleiding hun unieke configuratie eenvoudig assembleren. Dankzij de ‘friction-fit’ verbindingen zijn er minimale bevestigingsmiddelen benodigd en worden de kasten ge(re)assembleerd enkel met een rubber hamer en schroevendraaier.
